Daniel Zaitchik’s Picnic at Hanging Rock is a haunting musical adaptation of one of Australia’s most treasured novels, With an evocative score that weaves together layers of choral harmony, two grand pianos, and didgeridoo, Zaitchik’s dreamlike reimagining is a delicate balance of the epic and intimate, exploring the boundless unknown and the chilling experience of loss during adolescence.

Originally developed at lincoln center theatre, it was further workshopped at The Eugene O'neill Theater Center and Goodspeed Musicals, with productions at Princeton University, Weber State University, and others.
