Jane Eyre

I wrote this song over a decade ago, but only got around to recording and releasing it now.  It's on iTunes and the like today.  It features violin by Ariana Rosen and cello by Lauren Riley Rigby.  We also made a little music video for the tune, shot and edited by Marjorie LeWit.  Most things I wrote this long ago make me cringe, but I still feel a connection with this one, so I figured I'd throw it out there.  Thanks for taking a look and listen.

Picnic at Hanging Rock at Goodspeed's Festival of New Musicals

There will be a staged reading of my musical Picnic at Hanging Rock tomorrow night (Friday, January 13th) at the historic Goodspeed Opera House, directed by Tyne Rafaeli.  Based on the haunting novel by Joan Lindsay, Picnic at Hanging Rock has been a bit of an obsessive passion project for me.  My adaptation has been developed at Lincoln Center Theater and the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. The reading tomorrow will include new material.  I'm happy to have the chance to continue to refine this piece. There has been a resurgence of interest in the novel lately, as 2017 is its 50th anniversary.  Tickets and information HERE.

2016 National Music Theater Conference

Very happy that my musical Darling Grenadine was selected for development at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Music Theater Conference.  I've developed two other projects there, and it's just an incredibly special place to work.  Public readings in July.  Details HERE.

What I'm working on at the moment.

Hi.

on the theatre side of things, I'm currently refining my new music-play DARLING GRENADINE, which was recently staged in concert form at rockwell in Los Angeles, and further developed at the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals.

on the music-for-music's-sake side of things, I'm in the middle of recording some new tunes and just shot a little music video.  All coming soon.

Thank you.
